Art Kit # 1

10.07.23

Have you ever gotten inspired by a book? Reading fantasy books is one way to learn many different meaningful lessons and find creative inspiration for my artwork. You can get lost inside a book, unable to leave until you’re suddenly dragged away.

For the first art kit, we are going to make a decorated bookmark that can help with your reading journey. You can either follow your own creative ideas, or focus on a specific theme, like I did in the sample art kit. For my own bookmark, I chose “Summer” as my theme and showed my own memories of summer through cool and fresh whale-patterned origami paper and other stickers.

Since this is our starter art kit, it is intentionally simpler than any of the other upcoming art kits. This first art kit lets kids explore the art project and beyond.
