Halloween Gumball Machine

(My example)

Halloween is finally here!

In order to celebrate Halloween along with the first-ever workshop, Dreamers’ Palette presents a Halloween-themed gumball machine. Why a gumball machine for Halloween? The best part about Halloween is collecting all sorts of candies on one day. Why not make a cute Halloween artwork plus put candies on top of the gumball machine?

  4. Pick your favorite CANDIES and tape onto the paper

  5. Write names & cut along the outline (optional)

My reflection after the first-ever workshop:

Since it was the first artistic workshop my project was hosting, I was extremely worried if not a single child showed up for an event. I prepared as best as I could, put fliers around the house, and practiced the lesson plan over and over again. I thought even one child coming to the workshop would make me feel grateful and motivated. Surprisingly, I was able to have about 8 children plus their parents joining the workshop! I was very ecstatic to tell them the step-by-step instructions and show my own example for them to follow. They all seemed to enjoy doing the workshop, and I have never felt happier and appreciated before. When I asked the children about how they felt about the workshop, some of them whispered to me that they had been looking forward to the workshop all week! It was such a valuable, heartwarming, and touching moment that motivated me even more to try better for the next art kits and workshops. I was very doubtful of my project and whether it was giving an actual positive impact on children and the house, but these children showed me that my project was worthwhile work to keep going forward. I promised them to return with even exciting projects, so stay tuned!
